What More Can I Do? (for a smile)

prayerEver asked yourself that question? Well, sometimes some people are just a hard nut to crack. You will need to do more than just telling a bad joke. If your friend doesn’t respond to anything, whereas you like laughing a lot like I do, then you are not going to have a great time whenever you meet. I can imagine what it feels like to have a friend who hardly laughs not to talk of smiling. At least I have met such people. On one of such occasions, I remember counting my fingers over and over again waiting for a chance to dash out.

Laughing is good for your health but how can you even laugh when you can’t smile?

I wrote about How to Put a Smile on a Friend’s Face and a precious sister asked a question that got me inspired to write “what more can I do to make you smile?”

1. Ask For It: Yes! Ask and you will receive (Mathew 7:7). Just ask for a smile. ” Please smile for me,” “give me a smile.”and You will get one.

2. Talk Him Up: If your friend is going through something that just won’t let him smile. You can talk him up and If you do it well, you will get a smile.

3. Do something: one thing that you can be sure of is that when you make people feel special, they will smile and say thank you. Get a gift, solve the problem at hand, a good meal does wonder. Sometimes it could be that you owe an apology for something that you are not even aware of .

4.Pray for your friend: it’s only a depressed person that can’t smile no matter what you do. Find out what’s depressing this person. When you pray, the Holy Spirit who is an extraordinary strategist can tell you what the actual problem is and what to do about it. If it is a demon, cast it out. If it is an idea, pull it down. If it’s his or her decision not to smile with you or doesn’t want your company anymore God will show you and will guide you on what to do from His word.

5. You keep smiling. Don’t get all grumpy because the other person is not smiling. Perhaps your friend doesn’t know its importance and benefits yet. You could be the teacher. Knowledge is power. Did you know that there are lots of physical, emotional and psychological benefits of smiling?

I hope you find this interesting. Let me know, what other things that you do to make others smile too.

I love you.
